Titan One Sports are delighted to announce that Czech Republic under 20 international Karsten Ayong has signed for Slovakian Super Liga club FC DAC 04 for an undisclosed fee.

Karsten has been signed as a direct replacement for Vakoun Bayo the Ivorian who was sold to Glasgow Celtic last week.

Ayong was born on 20 January 1998 in Ombessa, Cameroon. At twelve, he and his family moved to Bohemia, where he started playing for Slavia Prague and from 2012 for České Budějovice.

He went to Příbram, where he had been since 2014,  scoring many goals in the youth teams. In the green jersey he played in the Youth League champions, in the Quarter-final against Benfica he also scored the winner.

In December 2016, as an 18-year-old he debuted in the Czech top competition, in total earning eleven starts. In the season 2017/18 he contributed six goals to a 2nd place finish in the 2nd division and sealed the return of Pribram to the Premier league. Last autumn he was in the Polish Ekstraklasa, With Piast Gliwice.

“Basty”, as his friends call him, has two starts in the Czech national under 20 year team. An athletic powerful attacker he joins the new teammates tomorrow.

“Karsten is a young player with an interesting past. We have been watching him for a long time and now there is a possibility of his transfer, as the treaty ends in Příbram in the summer. He is a well-built and strong attacker with the ability to hold the ball. In our team he will meet again with a former teammate from Příbram and with the Czech Republic in 20 years Martinom Jedličkom, who, I believe, will help in rapid adaptation to the new environment, “ said Ayong sports director DAC Jan Van Daele.
